The Surveyor is the largest of the "rolling" ARC machines. It looks like a giant, armored metal ball. It does not want to fight you; its job is Reconnaissance (scouting). It rolls around the map, stops to scan the area, and if it sees you, it alerts all other nearby ARCs to your location.
Behavior: This enemy is annoying because it runs away. As soon as you shoot it, it tries to escape at high speed. It can be really hard to catch if you don't kill it fast.
The Escape: 90% of the time, it will just turn around and roll away from you.
The Ram: It rarely attacks. But, if you corner it and it has "no option" left, it will charge into you at full speed to knock you down. It hits hard, so don't stand directly in front of it if it's trapped.
Shoot the Eye: When it stops moving to scan (you will see a light), its core is exposed. This is the best time to do massive damage.
Block the Path: Since it tries to flee, you need to position yourself to cut off its escape route. Don't chase it from behind; flank it!
Heavy Weapons: Use grenades or heavy ammo. You want to break its armor quickly.
Fragile State: As you shoot it, the Surveyor starts to break into many pieces. It gets more fragile the more damage it takes.
The Surveyor is basically a "loot piñata." When you destroy it, it leaves a Main Debris pile, but it also drops "Small Debris" chunks while you are shooting it. Make sure to pick up all the pieces on the ground!

Loot Small Parts: 100 XP per part (If you loot everything, you can get over 600-700 XP from just one enemy!)
Why did the Surveyor disappear? If you don't kill it fast enough, it will escape. Once it gets far enough away, it despawns or hides, and you lose the loot. You have to be aggressive!
What is inside the "Surveyor Vault"? The Surveyor Vault is a rare container item dropped by this enemy. It usually contains high-tier crafting materials or data drives that are worth a lot of money. Always check the ground for this item.
Does the Surveyor alert other enemies? Yes. That is its main job. If a Surveyor spots you and completes its scan, it "relays" your position. Suddenly, Ticks, Drones, and other ARCs nearby will start moving toward you. Kill the Surveyor first to stay stealthy.
How do I get the "Small Debris" loot? You don't just get loot at the end. As you shoot the Surveyor and break its armor, chunks fly off. You have to physically look around the area where you fought it and pick up the glowing pieces on the ground.
Best weapon to stop it? High-impact weapons like Grenade Launchers or a fully charged Sniper shot to the core are best. Anything that can "stagger" or stun it will stop it from rolling away for a few seconds.
