In ARC Raiders the Buried City is one of the most interesting maps because it gives u a look at life before the world ended. It unlocks after u play about 6 rounds so it is the second major area u will explore. The city was originally called Marano but most people just call it the Buried City now because it was covered in sand dunes for a long time. strong winds have started to uncover the remains which makes it a perfect place for scavenging rare loot.
The Collapse Lore This map is basically a natural time capsule. The history says the Collapse happened many generations ago with floods and fires that destroyed everything. Marano was buried under the sand which actually preserved a lot of the buildings. wandering through the streets is kind of creepy because it is so different from the swamps.
Gameplay and Hazards Navigating this map can be tricky. The sand dunes are ever-shifting and unstable so u have to be careful where u step. because it is an open city environment there are a lot of angles for snipers to hide. u will find good loot in the old residential blocks and shops but u are always exposed. make sure u check the table below for the map events and dynamic weather warnings like sandstorms.
