The "Into the Fray" quest in ARC Raiders is a combat mission given by Shani. This one is honestly kinda terrifying because you have to hunt down a Leaper, which is basically a giant robotic spider that jumps on you. Most people try to avoid these things, but Shani wants you to destroy one and bring back a specific part. In this guide, I’m gonna show you the cheesy way to kill it fast using fire so you don't get stomped on.

Before you deploy, you need to bring the right gear. Leapers have a huge weakness to fire. If you have Blaze Grenades or a Fireball Burner, definitely bring them. When you set a Leaper on fire, it kinda panics and shuts down for a few seconds, which makes it way easier to shoot. If you don't have fire, bring a heavy weapon like an Anvil or a grenade launcher, cause standard bullets barely tickle it.

You can find Leapers on a few maps, but Dam Battlegrounds is usually the best bet. Look around the Hydroponic Dome Complex or near the Red Lake. They also spawn at Homestead on The Blue Gate map if you prefer that one. You will know it's there when you see a massive spider-bot jumping around on rooftops or open fields.

Okay, here is the strategy. Throw your Blaze Grenade at it immediately to stun it. While it is flailing around, shoot the glowing yellow/red eye on its face or the joints on its legs. Breaking the legs will knock it down, giving you free shots at the main body. If you are solo, try to fight it from inside a building where it can't fit through the door—it's cheesy but it works.

Once the big metal spider is dead, run up to the wreckage. You need to loot the body to find the Leaper Pulse Unit. It’s not a guaranteed drop for every single kill, but it usually drops pretty often for the quest. Grab it, and then head to an extraction point to secure your rewards.
