The "Mixed Signal" quest in ARC Raiders is actually a pretty cool mission given to you by Tian Wen. She wants you to hunt down a specific machine called the ARC Surveyor (some people call it the Observer).
You might think finding one specific enemy on a huge map is hard, but these guys are actually easy to spot if you know what to look for. They have a massive blue laser beam that shoots up into the sky. Here is how to find one, smash it, and grab the loot without messing up.

Map: Any (but open maps like Spaceport or Blue Gate are easier)

You can find the Surveyor on any map, but it spawns in random spots. When you deploy, look at the horizon. You are looking for a bright blue beam of light going straight up into the clouds.
This light is super visible even if it's night or foggy, so you can't miss it. If you are in a place with a lot of walls (like underground), listen for a low humming sound that sounds a bit like thunder.

The Surveyor moves on the ground (it doesn't fly!). It roams around scanning the area.
The trick here is to be sneaky. Use rocks, buildings, or bushes to get close without it seeing you immediately. If you just run at it, it might panic and try to run away, which is annoying because they are surprisingly fast when they want to escape.
Here is the weird thing: the Surveyor doesn't really have guns to shoot you with. Its main defense is just running you over or calling for help.
To kill it, wait for it to stop and do its scan (when the blue beam is active). Apparently, when it's scanning, its armor gets weaker. That is your moment to blast it.
Best Weapons: Use something heavy like the Ferro or Anvil, or just toss a bunch of grenades if you are close enough.
Watch Out: If it charges at you, just dodge to the side. It turns really slow, so it's easy to avoid.

Once you turn it into a pile of scrap, run up to the wreckage. You need to loot an item called the Surveyor Vault.
Pro Tip: Sometimes (rarely) you can also find this item on ARC Carriers, but hunting the Surveyor is the guaranteed way to get it.
Now that you have the Vault in your backpack, head to an extraction point and leave the map. Don't get greedy and try to fight more stuff—just secure the loot so you can finish the quest.
When you get back to Tian Wen, she will hook you up with:
1x Raider Hatch Key (Unlocks secret shortcuts in future raids)
1x Photoelectric Cloak (This gadget helps you hide from scanners, which is ironic considering what you just killed)
