The "Out of the Shadows" quest in ARC Raiders is a combat mission given by Shani that can be kind of tough if you aren't ready. Basically, you have to find a big flying drone called a Rocketeer, destroy it, and steal a specific part from its wreckage. The good news is that Shani gives you some gear to help you out. In this guide, we're gonna show you the best spot to find one and how to take it down without dying too much.

Before you start, make sure you bring the right stuff. The quest gives you a Combat Mk.2 and a Medium Shield, so definitely equip those. If you have a rig with Safe Pockets (like the "Loot 2" or "Loot 3" amplifiers), you should definitely wear it. That way, if you get the item and die, you still keep it and finish the quest, which is a lifesaver. Also, bring some heavy ammo or EMP grenades if you have them.

Load into the Dam Battlegrounds map. While Rocketeers can spawn all over the place, there is one spot where they show up almost every time. You want to head to the Test Annex (sometimes called the Testing Room) in the southeast part of the map. It's right near the elevator that goes down to the Red Lakes.

Once you are at the Test Annex, you have two main ways to kill this thing.
Method 1: The Wolfpack Strat (Easiest) If you have Wolfpack grenades, this is super easy. Climb to the roof of the Test Annex using the metal stairs. Shoot the Rocketeer to make it come closer (get it within 20-40 meters). Throw the Wolfpack grenade at it. Usually, one good hit will destroy it, but watch out for other drones that might block your shots.

Method 2: The Gun Strat If you don't have those grenades, go to the top floor of the building instead of the roof. It's safer inside because you have cover from its rockets. Clear out any small turrets first, then focus your fire on the Rocketeer's engines and fans. If you have a "Showstopper" grenade, throw it to stun the engines and make it crash. Shoot, hide, shoot, hide—don't get greedy or you will get blown up.

When the Rocketeer crashes, run to the wreckage. Look for an item called the Rocketeer Driver. Pick it up and immediately put it in your Safe Pocket if you have one. If you don't have a Safe Pocket, you need to be super careful and extract safely to finish the mission.
