The "Snap and Salvage" quest in ARC Raiders is a big mission given by Tian Wen that makes you explore the new map, Stella Montis. Basically, you have to run around taking photos, reading secret papers, and finding some super rare loot that is honestly kinda annoying to find. It can take a few tries because of the RNG, but in this guide, we will show you exactly where to go so you don't waste your time.

Here is the quick breakdown of the mission:

Prerequisite: Cold Storage
First, load into the Stella Montis map. You need to find the Sandbox area, which is on the lower level of the facility, right near the middle. It looks like a big open room with sand everywhere (duh). Look for these little buggy vehicles called Rovers. There are usually two of them sitting there. Walk up to one and interact with it to take a photo. Boom, first part done.

Now you need to go to the Lobby area, which is on the upper level. Look for a door on the East side of the lobby that says "Security" or "Restricted Access". You might need to breach the door to get in, so bring something for that just in case. Once inside, go down to the ground floor of the security room. There is a desk (its kinda U-shaped) overlooking the lobby with some papers on it. Interact with the papers to "Search" them.

This is the hard part. You need to find two specific items: a Magnetron (Purple/Epic) and a Flow Controller (Blue/Rare). These don't have a fixed spawn spot, which sucks. They are "Exodus" loot, so you have to get lucky. Here are the best places to look:
Security Checkpoint: Check the drawers and cabinets in the same room where you found the papers. People find Flow Controllers here a lot.
Assembly Workshops: Check the yellow toolboxes and shelves.
Medical Research: Good for finding the Magnetron, but its dangerous.
Pro Tip: As soon as you find one, put it in your Safe Pocket immediately! That way, even if you die, you still keep the item for the quest.

Once you finally have both the Magnetron and the Flow Controller, you need to extract. Head back to base and talk to Tian Wen to hand them over and finish the quest.
