The "With A Trace" quest in ARC Raiders is a recon mission given by Shani. She sends you out to the Blue Gate to play detective and figure out who—or what—is destroying the ARC machines out there. It can be a little confusing because the game doesn't exactly tell you what "signs" you are looking for. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to go so you can finish this in one run without getting lost.

Here is the quick breakdown of the mission:

Objective: Find the "signs" in Barren Clearing and inspect the Adorned Wreckage
Map: Blue Gate
Rewards: Looting Mk.2, Medium Shield
First, you need to deploy into The Blue Gate. Once you are in, open your map and look for the Barren Clearing. It is located on the far western side of the map, usually in the North-West area, just to the left of "Raider's Refuge." It’s pretty easy to spot because, well, it's barren. There aren't many trees, just a big open space with giant destroyed ARC machines lying around.

This is the part where most people get stuck. You need to find "signs" of the destruction. Go to the massive destroyed ARC robot in the center of the clearing. Walk around to the southwest side of the robot and look at its broken leg. Leaning against the leg, you will see a weird white spherical object (it looks kind of like a satellite dish or a radar part). Get close to it and you should see an "Investigate" prompt. Interact with it to finish this step.

After you find the signs, your objective will change. Now you need to go to the Adorned Wreckage. You don't need to extract yet! Just head South from the Barren Clearing. It's a short run. You are looking for a structure that looks like a colorful rocket or tower covered in graffiti and flags.

Once you arrive at the Adorned Wreckage, don't just stare at the big tower. You need to find a specific communications device. Look for a makeshift table or desk nearby (usually near a smaller cylindrical wreck or to the side of the main structure). Sitting on the table is a small yellow computer terminal. Interact with the yellow computer to inspect it. Once you do that, the quest is complete! You can now head to extraction and claim your loot.
