In ARC Raiders, the "Hatch Repairs" quest is one of the first missions you get. It’s actually a really good way to learn how the game works and get used to the map without getting destroyed instantly.
Basically, you just need to fix a leaky pipe for Shani. This guide will show you exactly what to do so you can get your free loot and move on to the harder stuff.

Here is the quick breakdown of the mission:

Objective: Repair the water leak at a Raider Hatch
Map: Dam Battlegrounds (or any map with hatches)

Go to Shani in Speranza to start the quest. She will tell you that her scouts found some leaks in the hydro system near the Raider Hatches. She basically says, "Hey, if we don't fix this, everything is gonna break. Go patch one up for me."
Since this is an early quest, you don't need to bring any crazy expensive gear. Just use your free loadout so you don't risk losing your good weapons if you die.

Once you drop into the map (like Dam Battlegrounds), open your map screen. You don't have to search for the hatches blindly because they are already marked for you.
Look for an icon that looks like a semicircle with an arrow pointing down. That is the Raider Hatch symbol. There are usually a few of them on the map, so just pick the one that is closest to where you spawned or the one that looks the safest.

Head over to the hatch location you marked. When you get there, look for the ventilation mechanism or the pipes near the hatch entrance.
When you get close enough, a prompt that says "Repair" will pop up on your screen. Just hold the button to fix the leak. It takes a few seconds, so make sure no enemies are sneaking up on you.

That’s it! You don't even have to extract if you don't want to (though you should try, so you can keep your loot). Once the repair is done, the quest is marked as complete.
Go back to the lobby and talk to Shani again. She will thank you and give you some keys that her "last engineer" left behind.
For fixing the pipe, Shani gives you:
Raider Hatch Key (This lets you unlock those hatches to use as shortcuts or escape routes later)
Binoculars (Super useful for spotting enemies from far away)
