The "Sparks Fly" quest in ARC Raiders is an explosive mission given by Apollo. Basically, he hands you some experimental grenades and wants you to blow up a specific flying drone called a Hornet. It sounds fun, but it can actually be super annoying because if you don't do it exactly right, the kill won't count. In this guide, we will show you the best way to get this done without wasting all your grenades.

First, accept the quest from Apollo. He will give you Trigger 'Nades and Snap Blast Grenades for free. Pro Tip: Put these in your Safe Pocket immediately! If you die before finding a Hornet, you don't want to lose the specific items you need to finish the mission.

Load into Dam Battlegrounds. It's usually the safest map for this. You are looking for a Hornet, which is a flying drone that has two thrusters on the side and front armor plates. If you can't find one, try to get spotted by a Snitch (the floating eye bot). When it turns red, it usually calls in Hornets as backup.

This is where most people mess up. If you just throw the grenade at full health, it might not kill it. Shoot the Hornet with your main gun first until it starts smoking. You want it to be low on health so the grenade is guaranteed to finish it off.

Once it's weak, throw your Snap Blast or Trigger 'Nade at it. The Snap Blast is easier because it sticks to the target. Warning: The explosion must be the thing that kills it. If the grenade just stuns it and it crashes into the ground and dies from the fall, the quest will not count. Make sure it blows up in mid-air!
