In ARC Raiders gadgets are the tools that help you move around the map and survive without using your gun. gadgets are crafted at the Utility Station in the workshop and you equip them in your quick use slots. choosing the right gadget can save your life when you are stuck in a bad situation. unlike weapons these items are mostly used for mobility, stealth or defense. here is the list of the main gadgets you can find in the game.
Movement Tools The most popular gadgets are for movement. The Zipline is very useful for squad play. you shoot it to create a line that your whole team can use to cross big gaps between buildings or get down from high places safely. if you are playing solo the Snap Hook is usually better. it works like a grappling hook and lets you pull yourself up to ledges instantly. its great for escaping but it has a short range so you have to be careful.
Stealth and Deception If you want to avoid fighting the ARC machines you should use stealth gadgets. The Photoelectric Cloak is one of the best items in the game. when you activate it you become invisible to the robots for a short time. this lets you walk right past a Bastion or heavy unit without them shooting you. however it runs on a battery so you can not stay invisible forever. The Remote Raider Flare is another tool for tricking enemies. you place it on the ground and trigger it later to shoot a flare. this confuses other players and makes them think a raider is extracting at that location.
Defense and Utility Sometimes you need protection. The Barricade Kit allows you to deploy a small cover wall anywhere. if you are caught in an open field with no rocks or trees you can throw this down to block incoming fire. it has limited health but it gives you enough time to heal. The Door Blocker is a tool for locking metal doors. if you are looting a room and dont want anyone to follow you, put this on the door and it will stop them from opening it.
Scouting Information is key in an extraction shooter. The Binoculars let you zoom in to see enemies from far away. you can use them to check if an extraction point is safe before you go there. make sure you craft these items at the workshop so you are always ready for the raid.
